The Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA) has unveiled the Luxeed V9, an upcoming range-extender MPV jointly developed by Chery and Huawei. The vehicle is set to make waves in the market with its innovative features and competitive pricing. The official launch is expected in the first quarter of 2026, with a price range of 400,000 to 500,000 yuan (approximately 57,400 to 71,700 USD).
The Luxeed V9 boasts a unique design, featuring helmet airbags, a 1,200 km range, and an oxygen generator. Its exterior showcases a closed fascia with a chrome trim beneath the through-type light strip and a grille at the bottom, reminiscent of the Luxeed R7. The rear design includes a full-width taillight with blue indicator lights, signaling the advanced driving system's activation.
Inside, the vehicle offers a spacious 2+2+3 seating layout with electric sliding doors. It's equipped with dual independent zero-gravity seats that support 180° rotation, triple screens, a ceiling entertainment screen, a refrigerator, and the industry's first helmet airbags. During a collision, the seats automatically retract to a safer position, and the helmet airbag deploys alongside side airbags, ensuring passenger safety.
Dimensions-wise, the Luxeed V9 measures 5359/2009/1879 mm (l/w/h) with a wheelbase of 3250 mm. Power is derived from Huawei's "Snow Owl Intelligent Silent Range Extension System," utilizing a 1.5T engine as the range extender and dual electric motors. It's paired with a 37.017 kWh lithium iron phosphate and a 53.352 kWh ternary lithium battery from CATL, offering a total battery weight of 290 kg and 302 kg. The vehicle boasts three pure electric driving ranges of 158 km, 223 km, and 210 km (under WLTC conditions) and a comprehensive range of 1,200 km.
Additionally, the Luxeed V9 incorporates Huawei's DriveONE 800V silicon carbide high-voltage platform, further enhancing its performance and efficiency. With its advanced features and competitive pricing, the Luxeed V9 is poised to become a top choice for high-end family-oriented and executive consumers, competing with models like the Li Auto Mega, Zeekr 009, and Voyah Dreamer.
